*Berberis thunbergii A.P. de Candolle. clade: Group Septentrionales. Japanese Barberry. Phen: Mar-Apr; May-Sep. Hab: Rich forests, old fields. Dist: Native of Japan. This species is immune to wheat rust; it is now the most commonly encountered barberry in much of our area.
