WV, sw. OH, IN, WI, MN, and e. ND south to KY, e. TN (Roane and Grainger counties), s. IL, MO, n. AR, and KS, with scattered occurrences (perhaps escapes from cultivation) eastwards in CT, NJ, PA, MD, VA, and WV.
