*Trifolium tomentosum Linnaeus. Woolly Clover. Phen: Feb-Apr. Hab: A waif in waste areas near wool-combing mills and old seaports. Dist: Native of Mediterranean region. Reported for NC by Isely (1998), here presumed to be a mistake for SC.
