Senega verticillata (Linnaeus) J.F.B. Pastore & J.R. Abbott var. 2 . Subgenus: Senega. Section: Verticillatae. Whorled Milkwort. Phen: Jun-Sep Hab: Dry woodlands, woodland borders, openings, fields. Dist: VT west to MB, south to Panhandle FL (Kunzer et al. 2009), s. FL, and TX.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: The validity and relative distributions, habitats, phenology of the two varieties need additional assessment in the herbarium and the field.
