Crataegus ×rufula Sargent (pro species). Florida Mayhaw, Rufous Mayhaw. Phen: Feb-Mar; Apr-May. Hab: Flatwoods ponds, river swamps. Dist: Sw. GA and adjacent Panhandle FL and s. AL.

ID notes: Reddish pubescence is typical on abaxial surface of leaves, particularly on veins and in vein axils.
