Hab: Prairies, stream banks, woodland edges, pond margins, roadsides, old fields, pastures, old homesites. Dist: OH, IL, MO, and KS, south to MS and TX; disjunct (introduced?) in GA, NC, VA, and NJ.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
