Salix discolor Muhlenberg. Common name: Pussy Willow. Phenology: Mar-early May; mid May-early Jun. Habitat: Calcareous wetlands, disturbed areas. Distribution: NL (Newfoundland) and AB south to DE, w. VA, WV, KY, MO, SD, and MT.
