Boerhavia erecta Linnaeus. Erect Spiderling, Smooth Hogweed. Phen: May-Oct. Hab: Sandy fields, roadsides, disturbed areas, railroad yards. Dist: NC south to FL, west to TX and AZ, likely only introduced in the northern portions of our area (see map).
