Isoetes georgiana N. Luebke. Common name: Georgia Quillwort. Habitat: Streams. Distribution: Known only from GA (Colquitt, Dodge, Irwin, Tift, Turner, and Worth counties).
Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
Taxonomy Comments: A hexaploid species (2n=66). See Brunton & Britton (1996b) for additional information. Musselman (2001) indicated that this may be conspecific with I. boomii, but molecular data suggest both taxa are polyphyletic.
