Rhododendron pilosum (Michaux) Craven. Minniebush. Phen: May-Jul; Aug-Oct. Hab: Heath balds, bogs, rocky summits, and rocky woodlands, mostly at high elevations. Dist: A Southern and Central Appalachian endemic: sc. PA, sw. PA, e. WV, w. VA, e. TN, w. NC, and ne. GA.
