Crataegus buckleyi Beadle. Common name: Buckley’s Hawthorn. Phenology: Apr-May; Aug-Oct. Habitat: Upland pine and hardwood forests, rock outcrops. Distribution: W. NC, w. SC, n. GA west to n. AL.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Other Comments: Related to C .intricata Lange; distinguished primarily by purplish anthers, glandular-serrate calyx lobes, russet fruit and small (3-6 cm long × 2-4 cm wide) leaves with blunt lobes.
