Coreopsis basalis (A. Dietrich) S.F. Blake. Texas Coreopsis. Phen: May-Jul. Hab: Sandy roadsides and fields. Dist: Probably native only west of the Mississippi River (s. AR and s. OK south to se. LA and s. TX), now distributed across the Coastal Plain from TX east to FL and north to NC.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: The 'wrightii' entity probably warrants recognition at some rank.
