Eurybia compacta Nesom. Slender Aster. Phen: Late Jul-Oct. Hab: Pine savannas, woodlands, clearings. Dist: NJ to e. GA, mainly on the Coastal Plain, but also in the lower Piedmont.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: A diploid species (2n=18).

Synonymy: = FNA20, K1, K3, K4, Va, Nesom (1994b); = Aster gracilis Nutt. – C, F, G, RAB, S, SE1
