Hexalectris Rafinesque. Crested Coralroot.

Key to Hexalectris

A genus of about 9 species, mycotrophic herbs, of s. North America, especially sw. United States and Mexico. We decline to follow the suggested combining of Hexalectris into Bletia (Sosa 2007; Sosa et al. 2016; Sosa & Chase 2020); the published evidence does not provide clear and convincing support that Hexalectris and Bletia are not each monophyletic and morphologically well-supported genera.
