Neottia Guettard. Twayblade.
A genus of about 60 species, mycotrophic or autotrophic herbs, of northern Eurasia and North America. Our species, all autotrophs with a pair of green leaves on the stem, have been traditionally treated in the genus Listera, but it appears to be phylogenetically embedded in the fully mycotrophic Neottia.
