Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Notes from Julian Campbell (pers.comm., 2020) suggest that there may be an additional entity related to but separable from F. pauciflora at varietal rank; Nesom (pers.comm., 2021) disagrees.

Synonymy: = S, Nesom (2010i); = Fraxinus caroliniana Mill. var. pauciflora (Nutt.) D.B.Ward – Ward (2010a); = n/a – RAB; < Fraxinus caroliniana Mill. – Fl6, GW2, K3, K4, WH3; > Fraxinus floridana (Wenz.) Sarg.; > Fraxinus hybrida Lingelsh.
