Chamaecrista keyensis Pennell. Series: Chamaecrista. Keys Sensitive-pea, Narrowpod Sensitive-pea, Key Cassia. Phen: May-Aug. Hab: Pine rocklands. Dist: Endemic to s. FL (Miami-Dade and Monroe counties)

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: This taxon has recently been usually regarded as a variety of Chamaecrista lineata, distributed through the West Indies, Mexico, Central America, and n. South America. The geographic separation and morphological differences between this taxon and the other entities traditionally treated as varieties of Chamaecrista lineata suggest that species rank is warranted.
