Dendrophylax porrectus (Reichenbach f.) Carlsward & Whitten. Jingle Bell Orchid, Leafless Harrisella, Needleroot Airplant Orchid, Threadroot Orchid. Phen: Aug-Nov. Hab: Epiphytic (especially on Roystonea regia, Annona glabra, Nyssa biflora and Fraxinus cubensis) in hardwood hammocks, swamps, and sloughs. Occasionally on shrubs in uplands surrounding swamps or in old citrus groves. Dist: Peninsular FL (Citrus and Volusia counties southward); West Indies; Mexico and Central America.

ID notes:Can be distinguished through most of the year due to the presence of small brown globose capsules, casually referred to as "Jingle Bells".
