Taxonomy Comments: There are three elements in the Pyrola asarifolia complex, which have been recognized at various ranks. We recognize three species: a widespread North American Pyrola asarifolia, the Asian Pyrola incarnata (A.P. de Candolle) Fischer ex Komarov, and the Pacific Northwest Pyrola bracteata Hooker.
