Crataegus ×anamesa Sargent (pro sp.). Anamesa Hawthorn. Phen: Late Mar-Apr; Sep-Oct. Hab: Moist lowlands, prairies. Dist: E. and coastal Texas.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: A putative hybrid between members of the Virides and Molles series. Similar to C.×atrorubens Ashe, and part of a complex of interserial hybrids named from 1900 to 1922 from the region of MO, AR and TX.

Synonymy: = FNA9; = Crataegus anamesa – Tx, Phipps, O’Kennon, & Lance (2003), Sargent (1922a); < Crataegus viridis L. var. velutina (Sarg.) J.B.Phipps – Lance (2014)
