Hab: Dry to mesic forests and woodlands, bottomland and riparian forests, bluffs, hardwood flatwoods, pine flatwoods, prairies, old fields, fencerows, pastures, roadsides. Dist: MD and MO south to s. FL and TX; also in e. and s. Mexico.
