Aristida beyrichiana Trinius & Ruprecht. Common name: Southern Wiregrass. Phenology: Sep-Nov. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, savannas, flatwoods, and seepages, from very dry to seasonally saturated soils. Distribution: S. SC south to s. FL, west to s. MS.
