not marked as a favorite taxon Aristida oligantha Michaux. Common name: Prairie Three-awn. Phenology: May-Nov. Habitat: Rock outcrops in thin soil, roadsides, fields, disturbed areas. Distribution: VT west to e. WY, south to FL, TX, and n. Mexico; distribution in w. North America is probably adventive.
