Aristida purpurascens Poiret. Common name: Arrowfeather. Phenology: Aug-Oct (-Jul). Habitat: Dry habitats, especially in dry sandy or rocky soils. Distribution: MA west to WI and KS, south to FL, TX, and Mexico (CHP, CHH, COA, SON)
