Festuca octoflora Walter var. tenella (Willdenow) Fernald. Common name: Northern Six-weeks Fescue. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: Fields, roadsides, disturbed areas. Distribution: S. ME west to BC, south to GA, AR, TX, and CA.
