*Cucumis sativus Linnaeus. Common name: Cucumber. Phenology: May-Sep (-Nov). Habitat: Gardens, fields, trash heaps, commonly cultivated in home gardens and commercially, sometimes volunteering from seed the following year. Distribution: Native of s. Asia.
