*Solanum tampicense Dunal. Common name: Aquatic Soda Apple, Scrambling Nightshade, Aquatic Nightshade. Phenology: Feb-Dec. Habitat: Strand swamps, cypress domes, and other forested wetlands. Distribution: Native of Mexico, Central America, and West Indies.
ID notes: Solanum tampicense is a scandent shrub to 3 m long, climbing by yellow, recurved prickles 2-8 mm long.
