Linum lewisii Pursh var. lewisii . Prairie Flax. Phen: Apr-Aug. Hab: Calcareous glades and barrens. Dist: NU west to AK, south to MI, nw. AR, ne. TX, NM, AZ, CA, and n. Mexico; disjunct at Smoke Hole Caverns, WV, and several adjacent counties.
