Hab: Disturbed areas, abandoned rural yards and fields; commonly cultivated in our area (mainly in the Coastal Plain) and commonly escaped. Dist: Native of se. Asia (Indomalesia).

Other Comments: The fruits are sometimes used as beads; they are very poisonous if ingested.
