*Rumex sanguineus Linnaeus. Section: Rumex. Common name: Bloody Dock, Red-veined Dock, Bloody Sorrel, Wood Dock. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Europe. Introduced at least as far south as se. PA (Rhoads & Klein 1993), MD, NJ, and AL (Kartesz 1999), perhaps only as a waif. Reported for AL, MS, LA, and VA by Small (1933).
