Paronychia canadensis (Linnaeus) Alph. Wood. Common name: Canada Whitlow-wort, Forked Chickweed. Phenology: Jun-Oct. Habitat: Dry rocky woods, shale barrens. Distribution: NH and s. ON west to MN, south to n. GA (Jones & Coile 1988), AL, n. AR, c. LA, and KS.

ID notes: This species is somewhat taller on average than P. fastigiata or P. montana.
