Habitat: Shale barrens, rocky riversides, calcareous rock outcrops and talus, serpentine outcrops. Distribution: W. & c. MD, DC, w. VA, e. WV, c. TN (Cheatham County; J. Gorrell & M. Brock, pers.comm., 2024), ec. GA, and c. AL.
