*Dioscorea alata Linnaeus. Section: Enantiophyllum. White Yam, Great Yam. Hab: Disturbed areas, in moist soils. Dist: Native of se. Asia. Reported for Lowndes County, GA (Carter, Baker, & Morris 2009) and for Baldwin County, AL (Barger et al. 2019).
