not marked as a favorite taxon Lithospermum incisum Lehmann. Common name: Narrowleaf Gromwell, Yellow Puccoon, Fringed Puccoon. Phenology: Apr-Jul. Habitat: Prairies, woodlands, disturbed areas. Distribution: S. Ontario west to British Columbia, south to nc. Kentucky, Indiana, Louisiana, Texas, California, and Mexico; disjunct in Florida, from Florida Panhandle south to c. peninsular Florida. André Michaux collected this in riverscour "near the rapids of the Ohio" in the 1790s (M. Brock, pers.comm., 2025); specimen at Paris.
