not marked as a favorite taxon Lithospermum latifolium Michaux. Common name: American Gromwell, Broadleaf Gromwell, Broadleaf Puccoon. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Dry to moist woodlands over calcareous rocks. Distribution: NY west to MN, south to nw. GA, s. TN and AR.
