*Lithospermum officinale Linnaeus. Common name: European Gromwell. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Disturbed areas, roadsides, pastures. Distribution: Native of Europe and occurring at scattered localities in ne. North America, south to PA and NJ (Kartesz 1999).

Origin/Endemic status: Europe
