Lithospermum molle (Michaux) Muhlenberg. Common name: Tennessee Marbleseed. Phenology: May-Jul. Habitat: Limestone barrens. Distribution: C. KY, c. TN (Chester, Wofford, & Kral 1997), nw. AL, and disjunct in the Ozarkian Highlands of MO. O. molle has been attributed to Durham County, NC (RAB); Baskin et al. (1983) determined that this report was based on a misidentification of a specimen of O. virginianum.
