not marked as a favorite taxon Lithospermum molle (Michaux) Muhlenberg. Common name: Tennessee Marbleseed. Phenology: May-Jul. Habitat: Limestone barrens. Distribution: C. Kentucky, c. Tennessee (Chester, Wofford, & Kral 1997), nw. Alabama, and disjunct in the Ozarkian Highlands of Missouri. O. molle has been attributed to Durham County, North Carolina (RAB); Baskin et al. (1983) determined that this report was based on a misidentification of a specimen of O. virginianum.
