Lithospermum molle (Michaux) Muhlenberg. Tennessee Marbleseed. Phen: May-Jul. Hab: Limestone barrens. Dist: C. KY, c. TN (Chester, Wofford, & Kral 1997), nw. AL, and disjunct in the Ozarkian Highlands of MO. O. molle has been attributed to Durham County, NC (RAB); Baskin et al. (1983) determined that this report was based on a misidentification of a specimen of O. virginianum.
