Datura innoxia P. Miller. Indian-apple. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Disturbed areas. Dist: Native of Mexico.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Taxonomy Comments: This species may not be distinct from D. wrightii. The spelling of the epithet has been conserved as "innoxia" (Applequist 2023). {It is currently not known with confidence which records in our area apply to which taxon}

Synonymy : = F, FNA14, NY, S, WV, "inoxia" a correctable orthographic error; = Datura inoxia Mill. – Bah, Fl6, Il, K1, Mi, NE, Tx, WH3, Avery, Satina, & Rietsema (1959), orthographic variant; = n/a – Pa, RAB; > Datura meteloides Dunal – G, misapplied; < Datura wrightii Regel – K3
