*Solanum torvum Swartz. Turkey-berry. Phen: Jan-Dec. Hab: Disturbed areas. Dist: Native of West Indies. Introduced in AL. MS report is from Weed Science Laboratory.

ID notes: Solanum torvum is a shrub or small tree (to 4 m tall), armed with straight to recurved brown prickles 3-7 mm long.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics
