*Orobanche minor J.E. Smith. Common name: Hellroot, Lesser Broomrape, Common Broomrape. Habitat: Mesic hammocks, cultivated fields, parasitic on various hosts, especially Trifolium, Nicotiana tabacum, and Solanum lycopersicum. Distribution: Native of Eurasia.

Origin/Endemic status: Eurasia

Synonymy : = C, F, Fl7, FNA17, G, K4, NE, NY, Pa, RAB, S, Tat, Tn, Va, WH3, WV, Musselman (1982). Basionym: Orobanche minor Sm. 1797
