Elymus villosus Muhlenberg ex Willdenow var. arkansanus (Lamson-Scribner & Ball) J.J.N. Campbell. Phenology: Jul-Aug. Habitat: Forests, woodlands, often over mafic or calcareous rocks. Distribution: MA south to NC, west to WY and TX.
