*Lactuca sativa Linnaeus. Common name: Garden Lettuce. Phenology: Jun-Oct. Habitat: Cultivated throughout our area in home gardens and commercially, rarely weakly persistent, common as a cultivated plant, rare as a short-lived waif. Distribution: Native of w. Asia.
