Marshallia grandiflora Beadle & F.E. Boynton. Blue Ridge Barbara's-buttons, Large-flowered Barbara's-buttons. Phen: Jun-Aug. Hab: Habitat uncertain: "borders of swamp", "damp soil", "dry soil". Dist: Endemic to sw. NC; perhaps extinct.

Taxonomy Comments: See Knapp, Poindexter, & Weakley (2020) for detailed information. The name Marshallia grandiflora was previously applied more broadly to include river-scour populations west of the Blue Ridge now placed in Marshallia pulchra.
