Rudbeckia triloba Linnaeus var. beadlei (Small) Fernald. Common name: Chauncey's Coneflower. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Seepy mafic or limestone cliffs. Distribution: A Southern Appalachian endemic: sw. VA and KY south to w. NC and e. TN (allegedly also scattered in IL [Mohlenbrock 2014]).
