Rudbeckia triloba Linnaeus var. triloba. Common name: Common Three-lobed Coneflower. Phenology: Jul-Oct. Habitat: Moist forests and rock outcrops; locally common in black belt and Jackson prairies; very tolerant of disturbance and can be found in most mesic prairie soil sites, scattered elsewhere in disturbed areas. Distribution: Vermont, Ontario, Minnesota, and Nebraska south to Georgia and Texas; westward in Colorado and Utah (presumably as introductions).
