Solidago leavenworthii Torrey & A. Gray. Subgenus: Pleiactila. Section: Unilaterales. Subsection: Triplinervae. Series: Tortifoliae. Common name: Leavenworth's Goldenrod. Phenology: Aug-Nov. Habitat: Wet pine savannas, wet pine flatwoods, pondcypress savannas, pond margins, marshes, also in a wide variety of other wet and dry habitats, including disturbed areas in pine flatwoods. Distribution: Se. NC south to s. FL, west to s. AL.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Semple (2023c) studied the cytogeography of Solidago leavenworthii. S. Florida populations are hexaploid (2n=54), while plants in the rest of the distribution are tetraploid (2n=36).
