*Cinnamomum Schaeffer. Common name: Cinnamon.
A genus of about 230 species, trees and shrubs, of tropical Asia. Yang et al. (2022b) found Old World Cinnamomum to be diphyletic, with one group sister to Sassafras; these taxa are now recognized as Camphora.
