*Dryopteris hangchowensis Ching. Common name: Shaggy Woodfern, Hangzhou Woodfern. Habitat: Moist forest. Distribution: Native of Japan and e. China. Discovered naturalized in AL by W. Barger in Lee County (Yawn et al. 2024).
Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia
Taxonomy Comments: Initially reported for AL as D. cycadina (Franchet & Savatier) C. Christensen.
