not marked as a favorite taxon Mimosa roemeriana Scheele. Common name: Broadpod Mimosa, Roemer's Mimosa. Phenology: Mar-Oct; May-Oct. Habitat: Prairies (often on limestone or calcareous clays), oak woodlands, mesquital. Distribution: Se. Oklahoma south to sc. Texas. This is the most common species in c. Texas.
