Sisyrinchium biforme E.P. Bicknell. Common name: Wiry Blue-eyed-grass. Phenology: Apr-Jun. Habitat: Dunes, prairies, other sandy soils. Distribution: E. LA west to s. and c. TX and south into Mexico (TAM).

ID notes: The thin, wiry stems and noticeably large, globose capsules are distinctive features of Sisyrinchium biforme in comparison to other Sisyrinchium in its distribution area.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Here recognized in a narrower sense than many recent authors, excluding Sisyrinchium dimorphum.
